Welcome to Dorn Elementary School! Each year, our halls are filled with the faces of students who are excited to learn. The staff at Dorn is dedicated to ensuring that each child acquires the knowledge and skills necessary to be successful. Together, the teachers have created curriculum maps and assessments based on Illinois State Standards. The teachers meet frequently to share ideas and discuss best practices in education. However, we also recognize the NEED for a strong home/school connection.

We, as educators, need the help and support from our families to best meet the needs of our students. Therefore, we work very hard to keep in constant communication. Please be sure to check your child’s backpack and Parent Square each night for important information. Research has proven time and again that an active home/school partnership is one of the KEY components to success in school.
